PLAYSEARCH / TERMS
These terms apply when you use PlaySearch, create an account or buy PlaySearch Pro, a reduced-rate plan, Pro Teams or an Edinburgh Festival Pass. By using the service you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
PlaySearch provides venue discovery, professional room-level information and planning tools. Public listings help you identify possible venues. Pro information is intended to help professional research and decision-making, but it is not a substitute for confirming current availability, price, technical suitability, licensing, access, staffing or contract terms directly with a venue.
You are responsible for using an email address or sign-in method you control and for keeping access to your account secure. Individual paid access is for the named account holder. Pro Teams provides four named seats; the team owner controls assignment of the other three seats. Access may be suspended where there is fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse or a serious breach of these terms.
Recurring subscriptions renew until cancelled through the available subscription-management route. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless Stripe or PlaySearch states otherwise. Student and Sector Rate customers self-certify their eligibility and PlaySearch may request reasonable verification. The Edinburgh Festival Pass is a one-off, Edinburgh-only entitlement for the stated edition dates; buying late does not extend its fixed expiry.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. If a recurring payment fails, PlaySearch may allow a temporary grace period while Stripe retries payment. If the subscription is ultimately cancelled or becomes unpaid, paid access may end. Prices and taxes shown at checkout apply to that purchase.
Project Builder figures are planning estimates based on values you enter and venue information available to PlaySearch. You remain responsible for your budgets, ticketing assumptions, contracts and production decisions. Projects created under a time-limited Festival Pass may remain readable after expiry while editing becomes unavailable.
We take reasonable care to source and maintain venue information, but venues, capacities, contacts, technical facilities and hire arrangements can change. PlaySearch does not guarantee that every record is complete or current at every moment. Please report suspected errors through Contact & Support so they can be reviewed.
Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape or republish substantial parts of the database, interfere with the service, impersonate a venue representative, misuse another person's account or use PlaySearch for unlawful activity. Venue claims are manually reviewed and do not automatically grant editing rights or Pro access.
We aim to keep PlaySearch available and useful but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, PlaySearch is not responsible for venue decisions, lost bookings, production losses or other consequences arising from a user's failure to verify current information with the venue before relying on it.
