PLAYSEARCH / PRIVACY

Privacy notice

PlaySearch is a UK service for discovering and researching live performance spaces and planning professional touring work. This notice explains the personal information PlaySearch uses when you create an account, buy access, save venues or spaces, build projects, submit a venue claim or contact support.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use PlaySearch, this can include your email address and account identifier; subscription and entitlement status; reduced-rate self-certification; Pro Teams membership details; saved venues and spaces; Project Builder data; venue-claim details; support messages; and technical security or service logs needed to operate the site.

Why we use it

We use personal information to provide and secure your account, deliver free and paid features, process and administer subscriptions, preserve your projects and saved work, manage team seats, review venue claims, answer support requests, prevent misuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Payments and authentication

Stripe processes paid checkouts and subscription management; PlaySearch records the resulting customer, payment and entitlement references but does not store your full card number. Supabase provides account authentication and database services. Resend is used to deliver account sign-in messages. These providers process information under their own security and privacy obligations.

Storage, cookies and session data

PlaySearch uses essential browser storage and session information so you can remain signed in and use account features safely. At launch we do not use advertising cookies. If non-essential analytics or tracking are introduced, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before they are used where consent is required.

Retention and sharing

We keep account and project information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations or maintain an appropriate business record. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate PlaySearch, where legally required, or where you have asked us to do so.

Your rights

UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, and in some cases to receive a portable copy. You can raise a privacy request through the PlaySearch Contact & Support page. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed.

Contact and updates

Privacy questions can be sent through Contact & Support. We will update this notice when the service or our legal obligations materially change.
